3. visit victoria's historic sites

Located next to the Royal BC Museum, Helmcken HouseOpens in a new tab. is a one-story log cabin. It was formerly home to Dr. John Sebastian Helmcken, the first speaker of an elected assembly in British Columbia and first president of the Canadian Medical Association, among other accolades.

It's rumoured to be haunted by family ghosts. So, while you explore the lavish interior, you may see the pale figure of a late Dunsmuir passing from room to room.

The chance of a ghost encounter is plenty exciting, so take to the outdoors and wander peacefully through the Japanese Gardens created by Isaburo Kishida.

An example of a "bonanza castle," this is a massive hilltop house overlooking Victoria. It was also owned by Robert Dunsmuir and built between 1887 and 1890. This legendary four-story mansion with 39 rooms is now open for the public. 4. the galloping goose trail

You can bike, hike, rollerblade, or ride a horse on the 40-mile long Galloping Goose TrailOpens in a new tab.. It runs from the streets of Victoria to the countryside of Sooke, which means you can catch amazing scenery and a complete tour of the region.

5. ghost tour

Victoria is known to be one of Canada's most haunted cities. Its historic and landmark buildings have been home to some intriguing characters, and you can book a guided tour to see haunted locations like:

6. pendray's corn maze

Nothing says fall like a good corn maze! Get lost and find your way out of over 14 acres of corn. At the very centre of the maze is a climbable tower where you can take some unforgettable photos.

The farm and maze are open from September 22 to October 29 on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. as well as Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Taste the season with harvest-inspired menus at most local restaurants.
